Colours and composition defines the work of one of Swedens most interesting young artists. Malin Gabriella Nordin's paintings won't settle with a definition. It seems like they have a natural way to change states and become something new, depending on who's watching. Her abstract forms are unique and intriguing.
Malin studied art at Bergen Academy of Art and Design and has worked as an artist since her exam. Malin is represtened by Gallery Steinsland Berliner/Stockholm.
Fumiko Imano born 1974 in Hitachi city in Japan, where she stil live and work. She studied fine art and fashion photography at Saint Martin in London and lived in Europe for 7 years.
Her main subject is self portrait photography, a subject she worked with for over 10 years. Currently, her 10 years of twins portrait project "We Oui!" was published in a new book from Little big man books, 2017.
Photographer Arvida Byströms b. 1991, is questioning what femininity is and throws us the message that beauty comes in many different ways, through her work. She open up our minds and makes us happy for the alternatives she is showing.
Arvida is based in Los Angeles and have had work exhibited all over the world. She has also curated shows in London, Stockholm and Denmark.
Louise Enhorning’s b 1976, aesthetic is difficult to define as it is richly layered and mixes references from art history, music, design and colour theory. Her work is painterly, and sculptural; it sings and it speaks, far beyond the frame.
Besides a degree in art history from Stockholm University and Gotland's University, Louise Enhörning is trusted by clients such as Hermès, & Other Stories, Another Magazine and Vanity Fair. Louise have had work exhibited all over the world and contributed in many group shows and several solo shows.
She describes her art work as classic at first sight but strange in the end and says that she always looking for things to portray that she finds meaningful and wonderful. The result is often similar to dreamy film stills, with references to literature, cinema, art and mythology.
Camille is educated at the Grenoble Fine art and at Saint Martins school. She has contributed to various magazines, including: I-D, Another Magazine, Numéro and Purple Magazine and collaborated with brands such as Eres, Stella McCartney and Martin Margiela. Her work has also been exhibited in several galleries and institutions abroad as well as in her home country France.
Åsa Stenerhag's fascination for tactile surfaces and graphic expressions has always been with her. Her artwork takes place in the gaps, in the in-betweens and she has a special feeling for making shapes come alive and change them into something interesting.
Åsa was educated at Beckmans school of design in Stockholm and was previously a part of the fashion label Filippa K's design team.
With her dramatic drawings in several layers of black and white, Pia Simensen b. 1978, leaves us with a feeling of melancholy. Her work is a trip into her fascinating mind, where you’ll find heavy metal, fashion and a nightmare or two.
Pia Simensen has a background in fashion and the label Karin & Pias. She's got a degree from Beckman's school of design and has been exhibited at the art gallery Liljevalchs, Gallery Steinsland Berliner and at Taverna Brillo, all in Stockholm.
The creative mind of Martin Bergström b 1978, is a bubbly and boisterous place. In his prints he is using everything from fruits, decomposing fabrics, ink stains and forgotten handicraft techniques to bring his compositons alive. But it´s the hand-drawn patterns that are the basis for everything.
Martin Bergström is educated at Konstfack University College of Arts Crafts and Design in Stockholm and Universität der Kunste in Berlin – he graduated with an M.A. in Textiles in 2005.
Linnéa Sjöberg b. 1983, she has an MA at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm where she also works and lives. Sjöberg works with performance that often blends into her everyday life. The remnants of her actions is documented through text, photo and objects. She recently completed the final piece “Remains of a Business” from the project Gtd4s810, a series of weaved rag rugs, made from the luxury wardrobe. For the past three years she has been known as Salong Flyttkartong, a mobile tattoo parlor. Sjöberg is represented by Belenius/Nordenhake, Stockholm.
Jaana-Kristiina, b. 1994, is a London based artists working with mediums such as Instagram, performance and digital painting. Her work is based on her self portraits and examines herself and the world we live in today with social media. Jaana-Kristiina's work can be seen on record covers, as performance, in group shows and on her ”famous” Instagram account.
She is currently undertaking her BA in fine arts at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
Lydia Ericsson Wärn
Lydia Ericsson Wärn b 1994, have always been drawing so moving on to painting came natural. Born into an art family Lydia went to art shows from and early age and shows by Nan Goldin and Pipilotti Rist made a strong impression on her.
In Lydia's own work we can see references to photographs, family portraits and fashion images. Lydia's work make us question things, can it be like this, or could it also be like that? It opens us up to new ideas.
For the moment Lydia goes to art school in Stockholm and work as an assistant to the famous artist Carsten Höller.
Ahonen & Lamberg
The Finnish designers Anna Ahonen and Katariina Lamberg b. 1981 & 1977, work in several disciplines, and make sure to create something unique and special for every project they approach. Their design principle is to balance classical and alternative design, creating a tone that is always elegant, recognizable and yet eager to surprise.
Ahonen & Lambergs are educated at Aalto University School of Art, Design and Architecture in Helsinki. They are now based in Paris and have a client list ranging from multinational companies, magazines and luxury brands to emerging artists and fashion designers.
Rosemarie Auberson b. 1974, is an artist whose work combines collage, painting and drawing. Her work is purely abstract, sometimes more illustrative, but plays with the interaction of the surface with soft colors and texture, the full and empty. She might be best known for her expressive yet minimal landscapes and floral collages.
Rosmarie is educated at Ecole supérieure d'Arts Appliqué Duperré in Paris. In France she has collaborated with fashion houses such as Hermés and Givenchy. She has also published a book with OFR gallery, a collection of beautiful collages.
Lovisa Burfitt born in Sweden 1973, lives and work in Provance, France.
After graduating from « Beckmans School of Fashion » in 1998, Burfitt created the clothing brand Burfitt, and became one of the leading indie labels in Sweden. She short after moved to Paris and started her buisness there. In Paris Burfitt continued her career both as a fashion designer and as an artist. Today Burfitt is one of the biggest illustrator in the world and do her own work in her atelier in Provence.
